Job Description:

Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDA) – Data Product Engineering. EDA is responsible for building Data and Analytical ecosystem for various product teams within The Standard.

The Actuarial & Investments Engineering team which is a part of EDA, is responsible for building, enhancing and maintaining Data processes and Data products to support Actuarial and Investments business functions.

The intern will be a member of this team with a focus on developing and optimizing User Interaction layers for Actuaries and Investments team to interact with Data.

They will:

• Design, Document and Develop User Interaction front end capabilities with back end services abstracting the users from the complexity of the data platforms
• Develop data processes on Azure Databricks scripting languages Python on Spark
• Develop front end apps using Angular and/or .Net also leveraging Python frameworks like Django or FastApi
• Develop test cases and approach to quality check new code changes

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

• Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.
