Job Description:




SUNY Schenectady County Community College is seeking a full-time Project Director for our College and High School Programs. Reporting to the Director of College and High School Partnerships, the Project Director is a full-time, grant funded position, responsible for the management, leadership and outreach to College and grant funded programs operating through the College and School District Partnerships Office, students and families, as well as faculty and staff of partnership organizations. The Project Director for College High School Programs is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Early College in the High School (ECHS) grants, including managing budgets, reporting to New York State Department of Education and recruitment, outreach and retention of students. This position has direct supervisory responsibilities.





RESPONSIBILITIES





  • Oversees data analysis, budgeting and grant reporting for all College High School programs operating through the College and High School Partnership Office.

  • Primary contact with the New York State Department of Education liaison for grants (e.g., ECHS).

  • Participate in statewide calls and convenings for grant programs.

  • Responsible for ordering and keeping inventory of all supplies and textbooks for all grant programs.

  • Oversee use of foundation and donation funds for all grant programs

  • Coordinate, participate and execute recruitment process with ECHS and other grant staff and school district partners.

  • Assist in coordinating on campus student transportation during the academic year and summer.

  • Maintains and updates student information files, including all Slate documents, applications, registrations, and other appropriate paperwork.

  • Understands and adheres to all programmatic policies.

  • Work closely with College and High School Partnership Office grant teams on campus to ensure proper student onboarding once the initial enrollment process is completed.

  • Participate in New Student Orientation to educate attendees about the College programming, events, and offered student supports.

  • Occasional evening and weekend hours required (e.g., Field Trips, Volunteering, Orientation, etc.).






Requirements:




Minimum Qualifications:





  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 3 years' experience working with students in a community college or other educational setting.

  • 1 year of supervisory experience

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work autonomously

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to build relationships with high school aged students

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with other college departments




Preferred Qualifications:





  • Master's degree

  • Familiarity with Slate, Banner (Ellucian), Starfish or other Higher Education management systems

  • Familiarity with New York State Grants or grant writing
