Job Title: Capture Manager


Location: ADS Headquarters (Virginia Beach, VA)


Our mission at ADS Inc. is to actively seek our customers' equipment and contracting challenges and deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions. As we focus on growing our business, our Strategic Business Development team identifies, prioritizes, and executes new strategic business concepts and develops key external relationships. As the ADS Capture Manager, you will lead the operation of company-wide capture management functions and processes. This position will report to the Senior Director of Strategic Business Development and may be filled by a local (preferred) or remotely located candidate.


Job Functions: While continually learning, collaborating, and partnering with the ADS executive and sales leadership teams, you will spearhead our efforts to develop and implement enhanced capture management approaches to grow the company and generate diversified revenue. You will employ a range of capture management, business development, strategic planning, and change management skills to create and embed lasting value into the company’s culture and practices.


As the Capture Manager, you will...



  • Lead the design and implementation of the processes, information flows, and tools required to enhance ADS capture management capabilities

  • Develop plans and direct activities with ADS executive and sales leadership teams to grow the company in support of ADS strategy and business objectives

  • Develop and implement the overall capture strategy

  • Lead strategic capture activities at company and sales team levels

  • Co-develop and deliver training for ADS sales teams to scale the adoption of capture management concepts and practices


Minimum Requirements



  • 5+ years of prior relevant experience

  • Extensive knowledge, experience, and success in winning captures with defense, national security, and other Federal agencies

  • Leadership skills to develop, organize, and execute significant capture activities to win business with new and existing customers

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the Federal procurement process and current acquisition trends

  • Broad, exceptional understanding of DoD customers, operations, requirements, and key industry capabilities and relationships 

  • Excellent listening, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

  • Ability to easily communicate complex ideas, issues, and plans to a diverse audience

  • Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams with varying levels of experience

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • Travel up to 25%
