Robinson Paving, a division of The Scruggs Company, is seeking a high-potential HR Generalist in its Columbus, GA office.
This position is located at the Robinson Paving Columbus, GA office. The Scruggs Company and Robinson Paving are part of Construction Partners, Inc., a leading road building company operating throughout the southeastern USA.
What you will do:
The HR Generalist will focus on recruitment, community relations, employee benefits, and other HR duties. There is room to advance for a high-performing, high-potential individual.
Assist employees with benefits enrollment and with benefits issues
Developing relationships with hiring sources to produce job applicants
Represent the company at career days and career fairs at schools of all levels
Act as a company representative for employee development with various industry and community-based associations
Serve as the local subject matter expert on employee goal setting and the performance review process
Provide employee relations support for the 200+ employees in the Columbus area and, eventually, with other parts of Scruggs
Provide expertise and support for Scruggs HR needs across the state of Georgia
What you will need (qualifications):
Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field strongly preferred
Experience in construction or another blue-collar business preferred
Possessing 2-5 years of related HR experience preferred
Strong computer skills preferred
Excellent communication skills
Highly detail oriented and organized in work
Ability to meet assigned deadlines
