Assist Production Supervisor by leading overall shop floor production, provide training to department leads for continued personal and professional growth, and other duties as assigned.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS
Coordinate production activities for respective areas, to include multiple areas and directing departmental leads insuring that obstacles are identified and resolved.
Meet or exceed production schedules while delivering a quality product to meet on time delivery.
Assist with minimizing overtime in areas of responsibility through effective communication and production processes.
Recognize and help solve problems affecting safety, quality, and productivity.
Apply the tools of Lean Manufacturing to meet established milestones and objectives for continuous improvement, 5S, on time delivery, and overtime reduction.
Minimize attrition through effective coaching practices, cross training and effective employee relations.
Foster a culture of empowerment so that all levels of employees are engaged in safe work practices and continuous improvement activities.
Help implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
Make recommendations to production supervisor for facility and equipment improvements when necessary.
Provide effective communication to support the needs of the employees as well as the goals of the organization.
Actively engage in all safety initiatives and practices to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans.

Develop job function training material for new and current job positions.
Train all new and current employees on current job functions.
Establish, document, and train all employees on new and current processes.
Ensure quality expectations are trained for all manufacturing employees in assigned areas.
Train employees on proper manufacturing techniques necessary to prevent rework.
Instruct manufacturing employees on best methods of assembly for new product development.
Instruct, test and certify all plant employees on fork lift training.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATION and EDUCATION
Minimum 6 years of manufacturing experience with operation knowledge of processes, equipment, and facilities.
Must currently hold Team Lead position or equivalent skill sets.
Excellent problem solving skills resulting in root cause analysis.
Exceptional communication an proven leadership skills.
Proven ability to lead multiple departments.

Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, and blueprints.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
