Responsibilities:
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.Administer medications accurately and safely according to prescribed schedules and procedures under the supervision of a licensed nurse.Monitor residents for any changes in condition and report observations to nursing staff.Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.Assist with meal preparation, serving, and feeding as necessary.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents.Follow all policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure resident safety and compliance.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Personal Care Assistant (PCA), or equivalent relevant experience preferred.Medication Aide certification required.Experience in a similar role or healthcare setting preferred.Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to provide quality care to seniors.Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.Physical ability to lift and transfer residents and perform tasks requiring physical dexterity.
Working Conditions:
Shift-based work including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Work environment includes exposure to bodily fluids, medications, and infectious diseases.Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, lifting, and transferring residents.
