What You'll Do: We're looking for someone to take charge of our IT portfolio, which includes managing programs, projects, enhancements, and essential tasks. You'll work closely with IT leaders and their managers to review work plans, assess team demands, and identify potential trade-offs and risks that could impact our commitments. You'll also oversee the IT portfolio forecast process in SharePoint, handling the monthly cycle, maintenance, and reports in PowerBI.
You'll interact regularly with IT leadership, resource managers, the Project Management Office, and Corporate Finance, playing a crucial role in ensuring we meet our goals, commitments, and quality standards.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Here's a glimpse of what your day-to-day might look like:
Collaborate with business and IT leaders to understand their operations and needs, providing insightful support.
Develop and manage processes for large user groups, ensuring consistency despite changing requirements.
Automate and integrate data from various systems, including HR, Financial, Time Tracking, Procurement, and Project Systems.
Report to Executives and C-suite leaders on the performance and metrics of key initiatives.
Advocate for Technology when working with Corporate Development and the Project Management Office, coordinating across the enterprise portfolio.
Identify current and future resource needs, including both permanent staff and contractors, based on supply and demand.
Prepare and present monthly portfolio reviews, ensuring teams are aligned and ready to address any variances and escalation needs.
Ensure that teams develop, manage, and maintain detailed plans and schedules, perform estimation, forecasting, planning, and manage issues, risks, and changes.
Keep efforts aligned with business objectives and benefits through delivery.
Use an integrated approach to meet business needs, advocating for stakeholders and product teams to ensure deliverables meet goals.
Understand the cost-benefit analysis of the IT portfolio to identify financial gaps.
Monitor the budget and performance of financials for assigned portfolios in partnership with Finance.
Create, maintain, and enforce budget and forecasting processes in collaboration with Finance, enhancing delivery models through continuous feedback and information sharing.
Drive the strategy and maturity of Technology workforce planning, demand management, and portfolio management processes and tools.
Stay updated on trends and developments in Project Delivery, Agile, CI/CD, and emerging technologies.
Establish forums to drive team visibility, address scope and priorities, and mitigate coordination challenges.
