JOB SUMMARY:
Represents EMPIRE in a professional manner. Displays a professional corporate image when assisting visitors. Performs receptionist duties for the front lobby. Provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks to all areas as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Professionally administers phone calls, takes and receives messages for various personnel, transfers call to appropriate party.
Greets visitors as they arrive in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner.
Contacts the person the visitor is requesting. If unable to make contact, takes appropriate message.
Provides clerical assistance to all departments upon request.
Accepts assigned special projects and new tasks as position develops.
Promptly opens front lobby area for operation at scheduled hours.
Works safely at all times. Adheres to all applicable safety policies. Complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of express mail services, such as FedEx, UPS, etc.
Contacts the appropriate person upon receipt of a package or delivery.
Works cooperatively with relief and shift coverage.
Demonstrates excellent customer service skills and provides outstanding customer service to visitors and employees.
Work collectively with all departments and personnel.
Work within and promote corporate values.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
Must have sufficient skills to be able to enter data into Excel spreadsheets.
Must be able to produce correspondence in Word documents.
Must have ability to multi-task.
Must have excellent verbal communication skills and phone etiquette.
Must possess strong organizational skills.
Must have the ability to gain knowledge of Empire locations and key staff to direct callers and visitors.
Must have ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to maintain consistent attendance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Prefer 6+ months receptionist experience.
Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus.
Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
