The Hatzell group in the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment at Princeton University is seeking to hire a research specialist. The Hatzell group examines dynamic interfaces in energy storage, conversion, and separations applications with a focus on next generation clean energy technologies.
The research specialist will work on the design and execution of advanced metrology and characterization tools for dynamic materials experimentation. Applicant will work on data analysis and visualization of large imaging data sets, and may participate in synchrotron experiments. Geometric image analysis in 2-D and 3-D and image identifiability research questions will be pursued. Will conduct research in diverse programming languages and imaging software (Python, AVIZO, imageJ).
This position will work closely with graduate students and post-doctoral research associates on data analysis and develop image processing workflows. They will also be required to collaborate with external partners, manage funding deliverables and milestones. Additional tasks may include developing proposals for synchrotron and neutron imaging resources. Research projects will be funded by the Department of Energy, among other sources.
