The Logistics Specialist – Project Support will be responsible for managing all logistics aspects of the assigned project(s), including Yard and project equipment and the creation of tooling and consumable kits tailored to each project scope. As the program grows, you will oversee coordinators, providing leadership and expanding your managerial and communication skills.
The Logistics Specialist – Project Support will report to the Logistics Manager and is responsible for specific duties as assigned. This role offers the opportunity to grow into a leadership position while developing vital skills in logistics management.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Logistics Manager in providing tooling and equipment solutions for projects based on region, materials, and operational needs.
Develop equipment projections for Yard equipment, collaborating with project teams prior to mobilization to allocate necessary resources.
Provide training on Yard Hub and equipment management to project teams.
Track the utilization, condition, and location of company-owned and third-party equipment.
Coordinate the distribution of tooling and vendor-managed inventory.
Conduct regular project site visits across the southern region.
Lead meetings with project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with equipment yard Superintendents and provide input on equipment location, inspection, scheduled and routine maintenance, and sustainment best practices. Determine potential limiting factors which could adversely affect the lifecycle of critical or high value.
Assist in reviewing and updating rental agreements, purchase orders etc.
Assist leadership with Continuous Improvement program through operational feedback from the project teams
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Logistics/Supply Chain Management
3-5 years' experience preferred in Logistics/Supply Chain Management
3-5 years of experience managing small to medium-sized teams and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders preferred
General knowledge of construction principles/practices preferred
Advanced knowledge of tooling and maintenance practices preferred
Strong work ethic with a team-oriented approach.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Smartsheets preferred.
Lean Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement certification or training preferred.
Must be mobile within the assigned metro area.
Ability to travel nationwide with 35% of time required for travel.
Open to possible relocation.
