Are you ready to lead a dynamic team and drive excellence in packaging operations? Join us as the Packaging Hub Manager at Cencora, where you will spearhead the management of both local and regional packaging activities, optimizing the use of single and multi-use packaging materials. Dive into analyzing demand trends, fine-tuning stock levels, nurturing vendor partnerships, and upholding internal standards to ensure seamless operations. The Packaging Hub Manager is responsible for overseeing the local and regional packaging operations, ensuring efficient management of single and multi-use packaging materials. This role involves analyzing demand, optimizing stock levels, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with internal guidelines. The manager will collaborate with various teams to drive operational efficiency and cost savings.
Oversee the World Courier US Packaging Hub Operation, including return asset management, proper restocking, and fulfilling daily orders to our agent network.
Lead and mentor a team of Packaging Hub Operations Specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure effective organization and distribution of packaging orders to both agent locations and World Courier stations.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of local office and agent network demand for single and multi-use packaging materials.
Identify the current state of single and multi-use packaging materials:
Key vendors
Key materials
Local spend
Local ordering practices
Work with Global Packaging Fleet Management to analyze and execute on local demand for single and multi-use materials.
Oversee national stock control, including managing the inventory system (X-ACT).
Drive local and regional stock optimization efforts in coordination with Global Packaging Fleet Management.
Support the sourcing of materials in line with company regulations.
Ensure compliance with internal guidelines; coordinate with manufacturers and the internal QA department.
Reduce total purchase of single-use packaging material relative to demand.
Establish KPI reporting for inventory, spending, and utilization rates.
Support investment decisions regarding packaging material/vendor replacements.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with external vendors/contractors; incorporate new technology to improve efficiency processes.
Lead local and regional packaging asset forecasting and budgeting efforts. Perform related duties as assigned.
Collaborate with Operational teams/offices, Global Packaging Management, Procurement, Finance, BI, Health & Safety, Quality departments, third-party packaging providers, and other stakeholders such as global carrier management.
Maintain records of all physical transactions; prepare relevant documentation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
Proven experience in supply chain management roles within logistics or packaging management; experience in pharmaceutical/logistics industries is highly desirable.
In-depth knowledge of airfreight processes, international transportation regulations, airport/airline operations; knowledge of cold chain logistics is an advantage.
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successfully managing vendor contracts and achieving cost savings while maintaining service quality.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage effectively with internal teams and external partners at various organizational levels; strong presentation skills are essential.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools/software (e.g., Excel); ability to translate data into actionable insights impacting business decisions regarding capacity planning, pricing strategies, performance monitoring, and reporting.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating strong leadership skills; strong problem-solving abilities; attention to detail; multitasking abilities are crucial.

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
