How will you make an impact?
As a Process Engineer I, you will support manufacturing and assembly/molding processes by driving efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and assisting in troubleshooting issues. Your technical skills will help optimize production methods and ensure smooth introduction of new products and process improvements.
What will you do?
Support process development: Assist in developing and implementing production methods to meet quality and efficiency goals for new and existing assembly/molding processes.
Maintain process controls: Establish and ensure adherence to process controls, completing and updating necessary documentation.
Troubleshoot issues: Monitor production processes, identify problems, and support resolution of quality-related issues.
Assist in new product introductions: Contribute to the introduction of new product lines by supporting process development, performance evaluation, and reviewing tooling designs.
Optimize processes: Conduct basic experiments to improve yields, reduce cycle times, and enhance setup efficiency.
Implement improvements: Support the implementation of process changes or repair alterations, ensuring proper documentation of modifications.
Maintain safety standards: Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all safety programs and guidelines.
Collaborate with teams: Provide support to assembly and material handling teams as needed.
Support quality initiatives: Assist with company quality programs and initiatives.
Perform additional duties: Execute other tasks as assigned to meet organizational objectives.
How will you get here?
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. OR
Relevant experience in injection molding or manufacturing processes.
Experience:
Entry-level experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or a related technical field.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Technical skills:
Familiarity with assembly/molding processes and quality assurance principles.
Basic understanding of process controls and production methods.
Computer proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Problem-solving: Ability to identify and resolve technical issues with guidance.
Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Organization: Strong attention to detail and documentation skills to track process changes and improvements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with tooling or automation in a manufacturing environment.
Exposure to process control systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
