Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Product Support Technical Manager to join the Special Projects Dallas (SPD) team in Richardson, TX.

This manager will be responsible for field operations and aircraft modifications.

In this role, you will be part of a high performing, cross-functional team responsible for field operations and aircraft modifications. A successful candidate will have familiarity with developing and delivering advanced support equipment, integrated logistics support, maintenance management systems, technical publications, and managing multi-disciplinary, multi-site teams, technical planning and cost/schedule management.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Manages employees performing business management activities in the area of Product Support.
  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives.
  • Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports to include both the acquisition community and the fleet.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
  • Leads the product support team focused field operations and aircraft modification across multiple locations for the following efforts:
    • AAS Pod Depot and Field repairs for fleet and production pods
    • AAS Pod Engineering Change Incorporations (ECPs)
    • AAS Test Aircraft Modifications and CM
    • AAS Test Aircraft Flight Operations, data collection
    • AAS/P-8A Fleet Installation/Reconfiguration Optimization


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role (ie. Manager, project manager, team lead)
  • 3+ years of experience with aircraft modification programs


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • Experience leading teams across multiple locations
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic operations environment
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners.
  • Excellent communication skills with frequent collaborations with both internal and external customers

Summary pay range: $120,700 - $163,300
