Payroll Specialist at Kforce Inc in Lexington, Massachusetts

Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has partnered with a small biotech company in Lexington, MA that is seeking a Payroll Specialist to assist in identifying a candidate to process bi-weekly payroll for 40-50 employees. Added bonus if candidates have at least light accounting experience to be able to help with a few additional areas such as closing recs, stock options activity, and helping to clean up tax returns and 401k audit. This position will last until at least June 2025 but will most likely go longer. This is a part-time opportunity and could be anywhere from 5-20 hours a week.

Summary:
For candidates strictly with payroll experience, the hours will be closer to the 5 per week. Duties can be done in the evening, if need be. For those with the payroll and accounting experience, hours could be closer to the 20 per week. For those with payroll and accounting experience, preference is for a candidate to be able to come into the office anywhere from 1x a week or a few times a month, but not required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• ADP WFN experience is a definite plus


• Must be reliable


• To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed


• Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
