Job Description Summary
The University of South Alabama’s College of Nursing is seeking to hire a Clinical Affiliations Coordinator. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.
Essential Functions These are the job duties required of the position.
Essential Functions
Provides information regarding nursing programs for completion of applications for state authorizations.
Compiles data from a variety of resources including Banner, the College website, bulletin, and faculty/administrative files as appropriate.
Corresponds with contacts at Higher Education Boards as needed to respond to requests for information.
Determines annual reporting requirements from all Higher Education Boards, and compiles required data.
Establishes and maintains files for each Higher Education Board to include requirements, communications, data reports, etc..
Coordinates with College of Nursing administration and faculty to ensure that the College remains compliant with all State Board of Nursing regulations regarding nursing education.
Compiles and updates State Board of Nursing listings to include information regarding specific requirements for students practicing nursing in the state and faculty and preceptors supervising these students.
Establishes and maintains files for each State Board of Nursing to include requirements, communications, data reports, etc.
Serves as a liaison for faculty regarding each state’s specific requirements.
Determines reporting/approval requirements for each State Board of Nursing, and compiles required data.
Submits the report using the Board’s required format (paper and/or electronic) by the required deadline, once approved the Dean.
Assists faculty with clinical site placements for students.
Collects, assembles, and documents that clinical agreements and preceptor agreements are in order.
Monitors to ensure faculty and students have met regulations/conditions required by the hosting clinical site, State Boards of Nursing, and Higher Education Board.
Serves as a resource for faculty regarding these regulations/conditions by researching appropriate websites, and contracts.
Coordinates with Academic Affairs to provide information for completing applications for state authorizations.
Regular and prompt attendance.
Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
Related duties as required.
