Lower School
The Lower School at Brownell Talbot includes Early Years - grade 4 students. We are currently seeking applicants interested in Early Years - grade 6 opportunities for this posting.

Position Summary The ideal candidate will plan for teaching and facilitating learning for all students, create a positive learning environment, maintain academic progress, records, and discipline. The Lower School teacher will work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff to provide and implement classroom education to meet the needs of all students.
Key Responsibilities: Inspire Young Minds: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that ignite a passion for learning.
Foster Growth: Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages students to explore, ask questions, and develop their unique talents.
Collaborate: Work closely with colleagues, administration, and parents to support student development and academic success. Innovate: Incorporate a hands-on approach to teaching to enhance the learning experience, as well as balanced literacy models and best practices in reading instruction.
Mentor: Guide and support students in their academic, social, and emotional growth
Qualifications: Must have a bachelor's or master's degree
Eligible for a Nebraska teaching certificate in elementary education.
A minimum of three years of teaching experience at the lower school/elementary level is preferred.
Personal Qualities: Possess a positive attitude,
Excellent written and verbal skills,
Strong organizational skills, and
Proven success within a work setting requires collaboration, cooperation, and collegiality.
Physical Requirements: Able to sit, stand, type, twist, bend
Able to use computers, laptops
Able to lift 25-50 lbs.
Other physical demands such as speaking, hearing, manual, and finger dexterity
