Hillman Cancer Center seeks a qualified research technician to assist in transplant and leukemia immunotherapy research in Dr. Sawa Ito's laboratory. The program aims to perform immunological correlating studies for the clinical trial and understand the treatment resistance mechanism. The technician is expected to perform human sample processing, experiments, data collection, and analysis of cellular, immunological, and molecular assays, including flow cytometry, primary cell and cell line culture, DNA/RNA/protein preparation, and PCR. The optimal candidate should have at least a Bachelor's degree. Experience or training in either molecular biology or immunology is preferred but not mandatory.
We aim to conduct extensive correlating studies, including flow-based immunophenotyping assays and single-cell RNAseq, to assess leukemia IFN-gamma responsiveness. In addition to this new funding, we have an ongoing project to characterize the T cell receptor (TCR) clones of alloreactive T cells and discover the novel antigens recognized by these alloreactive TCRs. We need a Research technician in our lab to support these new and ongoing projects.
