Our client, a technology consulting firm based out of Langhorne, PA, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their team. The Business Development Manager will develop, close and manage new business for information technology (IT) infrastructure support services, with an emphasis on selling service desk offerings. The position will be focused on identifying and closing new clients of significant size and growing business within existing clients.
Key Responsibilities
Develop plans to grow service desk business by targeting medium and large corporate clients.
Actively contact prospects and assigned clients to build a pipeline of new business opportunities.
Build relationships with prospects and clients that enhances loyalty by providing effective account management.
Maintain on-going contact with existing, new and prospective clients, especially key influencers, decision makers, department heads, and user groups.
Execute selling strategies to minimize the sales cycle and maximize the closing of new business.
Create marketing programs to attract prospects and develop new business.
Monitor competitors' selling strategies. Use this intelligence to develop competitive selling strategies.
Keep apprised of new service or product offerings of the company as well as the marketplace's newly emerging services and product offerings.
Profile and maintain information on prospects and clients with the intentions of reporting on activities, trends and results of prospects and clients.
Coordinate and conduct executive briefings.
Qualifications
Must be able to travel as required for client meetings, and other business-related needs.
Must have reliable transportation and possess a valid driver's license
Experience selling in the MSP Market
Knowledge of IT services/industry sales
Experience selling sales desk is preferred
Compensation Structure
Base salary- up to 80K
Commission- Up to 150% of base, based on internal metrics, NPS scores, the number of proposals presented to candidates,and the number of new closed client relationships
