Job Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead daily billing operations, including processing edits, issuing invoices, and handling reporting requirements to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
- Supervise and manage a team of 3-5 direct reports, providing mentorship, performance management, and conducting annual evaluations.
- Maintain compliance with client rates, e-billing requirements, and outside counsel guidelines, addressing issues proactively.
- Collaborate with internal teams like Collections, Accounts Payable, and E-Billing to resolve discrepancies and enhance processes.
- Oversee major billing projects and complex billing arrangements, providing guidance and allocating resources effectively.
- Develop and implement solutions to reduce inefficiencies and streamline internal work cycles.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent training and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of billing experience, including direct supervision of a team.
- Proficiency in e-billing platforms like Ebilling Hub and third-party vendor systems, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys, staff, and clients.
- Demonstrated ability to manage workflows, prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and experience with financial systems like 3E, with the capability to train others in its use.
