The new University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty Campus will open in the Spring of 2025. This 469,000 square foot facility will be home to UI Health Care's nationally recognized Orthopedics service line, offering comprehensive, coordinated, and accessible care across the outpatient, inpatient and surgical venues. These state-of-the-art clinical facilities will also include a full-service community imaging center, laboratory services, physical therapy, retail pharmacy, and emergency department as well as an array of support services. The facility has been designed to support a superior patient and staff experience; excellence across our patient care, teaching and research missions; convenient access to services; and engaging community partnerships. Duties to include:
Demonstrating exceptional customer service on the telephone and in person, provide directions and information on hospital services and amenities.
In a high-volume setting, direct patients and public to specific areas within the hospital complex using extensive knowledge of hospital locations and services.
Resolve patient and visitor complaints and difficulties as they occur through the use of effective problem solving, utilizing service recovery as necessary.
Conduct cash transactions, performing all requirements associated with cash handling.
Work with off-site hotel and hospital staff regarding referrals to the Rossi Guest House Lodging Program. Maintain census, waiting, list, and database information. Place qualifying families in RGHLP hotel rooms as appropriate.
Must be able to demonstrate professional presence and be able to exercise judgement while working independently.
Following all safety protocols, screens visitors upon entry.
Additional Info: This position has a blood-borne pathogen exposure risk. Must be able to regularly move heavy weight of 100 lbs, and occasionally in excess of 250 lbs via wheelchair or bed. Must be able to remain in a stationary position and move for extended periods of time. Must be able to work in inclement weather. Must be able to move for long periods of time.

Driver's license and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Driving Record Review Standards
