Job Description Summary


The MBA for Executives Associate Director of Admissions is a key member of the MBA for Executives Team. He/she is instrumental in recruiting, nurturing and yielding candidates for the Wharton MBA Program for Executives. The Associate Director serves on the EMBA Admissions Committee, evaluating candidates and making recommendations consistent with the selectivity and enrollment goals established for the program. The Associate Director participates in both in-person and online admissions events, conducts phone chats and interviews. He/she must understand the EMBA competitive landscape and be prepared to complete special admissions related projects as needed and requested. This position will be responsible for creating and advising on DEI strategy. Some admissions related travel, evening and Saturday work is required This position is located in 2 Harrison Street, Suite 600 San Francisco, California 94105




Job Description




Serve as the Wharton MBA Program for Executives Associate Director of Admissions to recruit qualified applicants for both the East and West campuses by supporting the Admissions Directors in developing and executing an effective admissions strategy, with the primary focus on increasing the diversity of each incoming class. Conducts phone chats, advises, screens and nurtures prospective applicants, interviews candidates, evaluates applications, and serves on the admissions committee to make final decisions. The Associate Director plays a key role in researching, identifying, developing and creating strategies to attract and yield a highly diverse class. Provides reports on DEI admissions interviews, chats and event data. Assist with planning of in person and virtual recruiting events throughout the US, Canada and Mexico. Some to be attended and/or hosted by Associate Director. Assures candidates have best in class experience during their entire admissions journey to maximize yield. Maintains relationships with students and alumni to garner their continued support for WEMBA admissions efforts. Keeps abreast of the EMBA competitive landscape, including rankings and surveys that impact applicant decision-making. Provides data-driven assessments of markets to yield prospects according to program strategies. This includes monitoring admissions data continually and making evidence-based suggestions to recruitment plan for continued success. Special duties, as assigned. Some travel, evening and weekend hours required.



Qualifications:



Bachelor's Degree required with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in higher education recruiting, as well as student and alumni relationship management; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of business school admissions is required, graduate and executive level a plus. A Wharton EMBA Admissions Associate Director must be a good public speaker, have the ability to speak with confidence about the Wharton MBA and Wharton EMBA Admissions. Strong written communication skills are also essential. A collaborative team player who demonstrates executive presence, poise and genuine esprit de corps is required to ensure that prospective students receive best-in-class customer experience. The preferred candidate will have experience in and bring passion regarding creating an inclusive environment that attracts a diverse candidate pool. The Associate Director must be a collaborative team player who demonstrates an executive presence and poise as a representative of the Program, School and University.
