The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Breast Imaging. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants must be American Board of Radiology (ABR) certified or board-eligible in Diagnostic Radiology and have sub-specialty training in Breast Imaging or equivalent experience.
Teaching responsibilities may include daily clinical supervision of residents and breast imaging fellows and lecturing to medical students, radiology residents, fellows and trainees from other departments.
Clinical responsibilities may include utilizing the most advanced breast imaging technology available to provide individually tailored, comprehensive evaluations for the early and precise detection and diagnosis of breast diseases. The successful candidate will conduct high-quality interventional breast procedures, including stereotactic, ultrasound-guided, and MRI-guided biopsies.
Penn Radiology provides clinical services for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia Veteran Affairs Medical Center, and affiliated outpatient imaging centers in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
The clinical mission of the Division of Breast Imaging is to provide individually tailored comprehensive evaluations for the early detection and diagnosis of breast diseases. Our Breast Imaging Division, accredited by the American College of Radiology, provides screening and problem-solving mammography, breast MRI, and multimodality intervention for outpatients at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and its satellite locations.
