Job Description:




Budget Title: Postdoctoral Associate (SL-1)




Salary: $74,088 (full-time, 12-month, temporary)




The AI in Precision Oncology Fellowship was created to help Dr. Nancy Guo recruit highly qualified doctoral candidates for research and scholarship who will contribute in a meaningful and measurable way to advancing personalized medicine. The AI in Precision Oncology Fellowship aims to support and develop top-tier candidates who aspire to develop foundational AI methodology to improve current cancer treatment, including the discovery of novel biomarkers and drug candidates. The fellowship appointment is for up to three years.




About Watson College:




The Thomas J. Watson College of Engineering and Applied Science at Binghamton University is home to roughly 1,000 graduate and 2,000 undergraduate students, over 100 tenured and tenure-track faculty, and 60 staff. Fellows are appointed with the title of Postdoctoral Associate and will receive an annual salary, up to a $74,088, according to the NIH postdoc salary standard.




Responsibilities:




The fellow is expected to conduct original research in cutting-edge areas relevant to AI foundational models and applications in oncology and to publish high-quality, peer-reviewed scholarly work as a result of this effort. The fellow will receive formal mentoring in research.




We are looking for a highly creative and talented individual with a strong publication record in their area of research and excellent organizational and communication skills.

Requirements:





  • Doctoral degree in a relevant field prior to the appointment

  • Conducted AI foundational models and applications in oncology
