UMass Boston invites applications for a clinical assistant professor who will hold a full-time 9-month non-tenure track faculty position in the Department of Nursing. Our programs focus on health in urban populations of all ages and target improving health equity in populations at risk for healthcare disparities. For more information go to www.umb.edu/academics/cnhsThe position is designed for a doctoral-prepared faculty member who will provide leadership as director of the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Program for the Department of Nursing. Responsibilities include directing the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Program and classroom learning. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner director is responsible for curriculum development and oversight of the quality of educational outcomes. This responsibility is in the context of the Manning College of Nursing & Health Sciences strategic plan and accreditation goals and outcomes. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner director reports to the Chair of the Department of Nursing.
Candidates will be expected to employ a variety of teaching strategies in the classroom settings to promote clinical judgement and achievement of course and program objectives with diverse student learners. In the Scholarship of Practice lines, faculty teach seven (7) 3-credit bearing courses per year in a 4:3 ratio (21 credits).
