As a Senior Data Scientist, this person will work with the business in the following four areas:
Leadership- manages team of data scientists and machine learning engineers, planning projects, and building analytics models, leveraging on large volumes of data across sources in a variety of forms.
Strategy- plays a strategic role in creating industry-leading performance through the leveraging of new and creative data-sources and employing the latest in machine learning in the department.
Analytics- plays critical role to drive experimental data modeling designs within the business. Will be responsible to run A/B tests in order to evaluate changes in digital products and services
Collaboration- will collaborate with cross functional teams including Marketing, Sales, and Zoetis Tech and Digital and serves as a trusted advisor to senior leaders in the creation and deployment of useful insights that inform and activate business strategies across the business
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for leading the development of analytics focused products and utilizing cutting edge machine learning, natural language processing, and mathematical techniques to identify revenue generating opportunities and enhance customer expectation
Lead a team of 3-5 data scientists and machine learning engineers
Build predictive models to inform advanced insights, account prioritization, next-best-action, campaign optimization, and commercial test-and-learn for NGSE
Perform predictive analytics to identify core opportunities to drive business value, utilizing machine learning techniques such as logistic regression, random forests, collaborative filtering, sentiment analysis and topic modeling
Implement, deploy, and maintain ML augmented tools for users to act on insights and recommendations generated by models and analytics
Generate buy-in and engagement by effectively communicating results through presentations and visualizations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Masters from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or related field
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience working as a Data Scientist
Demonstrated experience building deployed prediction models to create business value, preferably in sales and marketing applications
Strong analytical mind, intellectual curiosity, and business acumen; ability to translate mathematical models and results into business concepts and vice versa
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to a non-technical audience
Fluency in English required
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Experience in building predictive models in Python (Pandas/PySpark preferred)
Experience in large-scale/distributed computing and analytics (Spark)
Strong statistics acumen including design of experiments
Knowledge of SQL
Experience with source control and collaboration tools (e.g. Git and Github Enterprise)
Experience working in Azure cloud environment
Experience in data engineering a plus
Tableau / data visualization experience a plus
Software development / engineering experience a plus
Experience in scaled model testing, integration, and deployment (DevOps) a plus
Experience working in Microsoft tech stack including SQL Server and Azure preferred
Experience working with Azure Databricks and Data Factory a plus
