Job Summary
The IT Procurement Specialist will be responsible for supporting the lifecycle of all technology assets, including hardware and software. This role requires a hands-on support person who can support all IT hardware assets from procurement to recycling. This role will be responsible for inventory counts as well as tracking down expected return hardware.
Job Responsibilities
Execute the IT asset management strategy that aligns with business goals and drives organizational efficiency
Word with cross-functional teams including security, procurement, finance, and MSP vendors to ensure alignment with asset management goals
Oversee the entire asset lifecycle, from acquisition to disposal, ensuring optimal utilization and alignment with business needs
Support the implementation & adoption of asset management practices, standards, and tools
Provide reports and analytics on asset utilization, cost trends, and optimization opportunities
Support initiatives to optimize asset performance, drive cost savings, and improve operational efficiency
Work with team leads to enhance their skills in asset management and procurement
Support a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the asset management function
Job Requirements
Proven ability to work and support IT asset management functions
In-depth knowledge of software and hardware asset management, including cloud-based licensing models and tools like ServiceNow
Strong analytical skills to interpret asset management data and drive data-driven decisions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex information to diverse audiences
Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access
Project Management
Ability to lift 20 pounds as needed
