Job Details:
This position is responsible for leading and directing the Tyson private fleet transportation team to achieve business and financial objectives.
Responsibilities include:
Driver management
On time service management
Driver safety management
Driver and load problem resolution
Other duties as assigned
2nd Shift: 6PM - 6AM; on a rotation of Wednesday - Friday, and every other Saturday [3 days On - 4 days Off / 4 days on - 3 days Off].
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience: 1 plus years transportation experience.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills Microsoft Office is a plus; Tyson Business Computer Systems to include Sale Inventory SAP Transportation and Warehousing Systems.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and communication skills.
Supervisory: Position acts as a team leader providing functional supervision for other members of the work unit such as assigning work and training lower level employees.
Travel: 1-5 domestic trips per year.
