The Director of Financial Aid will function as the college-wide coordinator for Title IV, Scholarships, Veteran's Benefits, and all financial aid assistance programs. In addition, the Director of Financial Aid will oversee the Financial Aid Services Central Processing Center, ensuring compliance with Federal, state, and local regulations.

Work Hours: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Friday 7:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with the annual development of annual financial aid/scholarship objectives and strategies for the institutional planning process of the College in concert with the Dean of Students.
Assist Directors of Student Services with the formulation of annual financial aid budgets based on predetermined needs.
Supervise and evaluate Financial Aid Officers, ensuring all duties and responsibilities of the Financial Aid Services Central Processing Center are achieved.
Work in coordination with campus Student Services Specialists to assure the delivery of an effective program of financial and scholarship assistance that is in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, policies, and procedures.
Ensure that Financial Aid Officers comply with appropriate federal, state, and local regulations, policies, and procedures.
Resolve issues, problems, and conflicts related to financial assistance.
Prepare federal, state, and institutional reports, program applications, and other documents required for participation in the Title IV Financial Assistance programs.
Monitor changes in federal regulations regarding student financial assistance, developing and implementing sound policies and practices related to regulation updates.
Serve as institutional liaison with the Department of Education on issues relevant to Title IV Financial Assistance.
Advise the Dean of Students of federal regulations that must be implemented by the entire college.
Formulate and implement procedures related to student financial assistance and scholarships.
Oversee the maintenance of accurate and confidential student financial aid records in compliance with federal, state, and institutional requirements.
Coordinate the functional roles of the Financial Aid Central Processing Center personnel with campus Directors of Student Services and other units, divisions, and departments of the College.
Develop in concert with Dean of Students all forms and publications used by Financial Aid Services.
Develop in concert with the Public Relations Office, all financial aid/scholarship brochures and materials.
Develop and manage the annual College-wide Financial Aid budget.
Serve as liaison with the Business Office in matters related to financial aid and scholarships.
Convene regularly with campus Student Services personnel as well as other personnel, when deemed necessary.
Develop and update financial assistance information materials as needed.
Serve as a member of the College-wide Financial Assistance/Scholarship Committee.
Serve as chair of the College-wide Financial Assistance/Scholarship Committee.
Serve on the President's Advisory Committee.
Maintain affiliation with appropriate state, regional, and national professional organizations.
Perform other duties as needed to support and facilitate the operations of the Student Services Division of Bevill State Community College.

MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE A minimum of a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in education, counseling or related field is required. A minimum of three years' financial assistance experience in a college setting is required.
