The Rendering Operator is responsible for the grinding and cooking of animal byproduct and deadstock. Operations are carried out through computer controls while watching motor loads and speeds of various equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor equipment for quality assurance along with record keeping for items such as record of temperatures and inspection of incoming raw materials to stay in compliance.
Loading of trucks with finished products. The Operator will be responsible for verifying the trailer is clean prior to loading. Load trucks and manage load levels per product. Document load paperwork for each load and turn in.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Dependable, reliable; ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in a waste treatment environment.
High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Occupational hazards and safety precautions of the work
Chemical safety practices
General math skills
Practices and procedures used in the operation and maintenance of wastewater pretreatment systems
Sampling methods and the physical and chemical tests used in treatment plant control
Process quality control requirements and remedial measures in dealing with process malfunctions and emergencies
Ability to attend work consistently.
Must be able to withstand long periods in cold, warm, or wet/damp environments.
Maintain a clean work area.
Be adaptable and dependable and the ability to follow direction and work in cooperation with others.
Ability to perform consistent, accurate work with minimal direction and successfully as part of a team.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects. Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Must be able to stand for 8 hours and work 12 hour shifts occasionally. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.

Summary
America's Heartland Packing is set to open its doors in early 2025. The 775,000 sq. ft. greenfield project will include a harvest floor, carcass chillers, fabrication area, rendering, further processing area, storage coolers, freezers, and loading docks.
