Position Information: Assisting in creating and executing a strategic plan for OU-Tulsa based on market data; Responsible for executing strategic vision; project management, managing stakeholder relationships, in Northeastern Oklahoma. This position will proactively create and seek external opportunities to promote OU in Tulsa in alignment with the OU Strategic Plan.
Essential Duties:
Develops and maintains strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and senior leadership, to ensure alignment with strategic initiatives.
Manages internal communications and relationships with OU-Tulsa leadership and stakeholders.
Assists in the development, refinement, and execution of the university's strategic plan, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and priorities.
Contributes to shaping the long-term vision for OU-Tulsa through data-driven analysis and planning.
Oversees and manages strategic projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
Coordinates resources, tracks progress, and addresses challenges to achieve project milestones.
Conducts thorough market research and analysis to gather data on trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning, and provides recommendations for new initiatives and strategies.
Engages with external partners to identify and capitalize on collaboration and new opportunities
Proactively seeks out external opportunities to promote and enhance the University's presence, reputation, and impact, particularly in line with the university's strategic goals.
Provides regular reports on the status and impact of strategic initiatives, projects, and external partnerships to senior leadership.
Identifies opportunities for process improvements and efficiency within the strategic planning and project execution process, ensuring the effective delivery of outcomes.
Provides support for special projects or initiatives as needed by the leadership team.
Works with OU-Tulsa Vice President and other stakeholders across the University to develop and manage strategic in-depth business plan to include measurable goals, aligned with the University's mission.
Directs, manages and coordinates special events as necessary.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required Education: Master's degree in Business Administration, Strategic Management, Higher Education, or related field, AND:
15 years of experience in community engagement, strategic planning.
Experience working with and knowledge of Tulsa and Northeast Oklahoma community and key leaders.
Equivalency/Substitution: Experience or a combination of education & related experience can be considered in lieu of degree. A one-to-one ratio is used to determine the number of years of experience required in place of a degree.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge and understanding of University strategic plan goals in alignment with vision of campus leaders.
Awareness of key community stakeholders and understanding of communities in target markets.
Self-starter and goal driven.
Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate with a variety of audiences.
Ability to build relationships with internal teams as well as community stakeholders.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
