The Lead Teller provides excellent client service with each interaction while performing routine banking center and client service duties. Our retail team provides PREMIER customer service while handling customer transactions and questions.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Partners with the Branch manager to coordinate staff schedules, workflow, and ensure effective operation of all parts of the branch, including consistent PREMIER customer service.
Monitors, tracks, and reports individual results, team results, and the progress on the training plan for new Tellers.
Manages performance and behavior standards, tracks measurements and goals for tellers, completes and delivers annual performance appraisals and corrective actions, and fosters an inclusive environment.
Provides ongoing training to all tellers about customer experience and teller duties to ensure a quality customer experience.
Manages security issues, and monitors and reviews security procedures by communicating alerts, key assignments, dual control of keys/combinations, updating notification lists, training and updating procedures, assignment of alarm codes, distribution of alarm packets, and responding to alarms at the branch.
Ensures adherence to First PREMIER Bank’s internal policies and procedures and monitors the effectiveness of these policies and procedures.
Partners with the Branch Manager and Retail Leadership to manage the interview and hiring process for Teller new hires and assigns system access once employed (i.e. Xperience, Travelex, etc.).
Skills and Qualifications
2 or more years of customers service experience in a banking, financial, or retail organization.
1-2 years of leadership experience in a banking, financial or retail organization.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals and leadership.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Conduct tasks in a manner that complies with all consumer protection regulations and treats consumers fairly.
