The Ipswich YMCA is hiring a Camp Director for the 2025 season at Camp Cedar Mill in Rowley. Nestled on 207 acres of picturesque wooded trails, this incredible camp features a spacious outdoor swimming pool, adventure courses, a climbing wall, sports fields, campfire areas, and rustic log cabins and lodges. It's the perfect setting for a summer full of fun and exploration!
As Camp Director, you’ll serve as the face of our summer camp program. Your responsibilities will include preparing the campsite, meeting staffing needs, and overseeing daily camp operations. Once camp begins, you’ll take charge as the on-site director, ensuring safety, maintenance, staff management, and an exceptional camp experience for every child.

If you are an experienced camp leader who is organized, enthusiastic and enjoys working with children, we welcome you to apply! Spend your summer outside at the Y. Must be available May through August.
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
Must obtain within three months and maintain the following certifications: Community CPR, First Aid; Safety, and Child Abuse Neglect Prevention; & YMCA Day Camp Director Training.
Part-time hours are available from May to June to help prepare for camp, transitioning to full-time 40-hour weeks during the summer. Additionally, there will be a full-day training session on March 13, 2025, and another important training day on June 7, 2025.
Camp operates Monday - Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to lift and/or assist children up to 50 pounds in weight
Must be able to lift and carry food and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds
