Responsibilities:
Assist team with conducting wetland and waterway delineations, forest stand delineations, tree assessments, stream geomorphic assessments, wetland and stream restoration design and monitoring, NEPA evaluations, design plan reviews for environmental commitment compliance, regulatory permitting, environmental construction compliance and post-construction monitoring of wetland and stream mitigation sites for State and County transportation/infrastructure projects.Preparing technical reports, natural resource impact tracking, and creation of basic graphics using GIS, GPS, and other software.
Qualifications:
Experience in wetland delineation and functional assessment; habitat, biological, and water quality assessments; wetland and waterway regulatory permitting; Forest Conservation permitting; and Erosion and Sediment Control is a plus.The ideal candidate must have a BS in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, or a related degree from an accredited school plus 2 years minimum experience and must have the ability to immediately work in the United States. Experience with the latest accepted methodologies for conducting natural resource evaluations, such as wetland delineation/functional assessment and habitat/biological/water quality assessment methods;Experience with identification of plant species and soil properties within the Mid-Atlantic Region of the United States;Knowledge of Forest Stand Delineations and Tree Assessments;Familiarity with NEPA Evaluations and Processes,construction permit compliance, and Erosion and Sediment Control;Working knowledge of GIS/CADD/GPS applications and Microsoft Office.Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; andPositive attitude and good work ethic with a desire to work in a collaborative environment.
