POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. This position is responsible for preparing and managing the organizations general ledger, preparing and distributing basic financial reports, managing financial compliance requirements, and working with managers to analyze data, identify trends and recommend strategies.

JOB LOCATION: Association office located in the Wellmark YMCA in downtown Des Moines and supports all the branches of the association.
HOURS/DAYS SCHEDULE: Standard work week, but will occasionally work evening or weekend hours to accommodate activities such as meetings and events.
SALARY:$50,500 - $55,000 annualized
CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: January 12, 2025 - Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Prepare and enter monthly journal entries and reconcile all cash accounts.Manage accounts receivable and billing, and maintain an accurate general ledgerAssist with audits and with annual financial audits.Provide and analyze data for specific projects.Assist in reviewing and analyzing financial information and reportsAssist in the annual budget process.Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly forecasting processes.Process daily transactions for the ALRO, such as processing of payments and deposits.Manage the accounts payable processProvide administrative support for the ALRO.Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or designated staff person.Demonstrate and support the objectives of the Association as embodied in the mission statement and values.
