The Fabrication Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance and repair of fabrication equipment within a meat processing facility. This includes ensuring optimal equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe and efficient production environment.
Essential Functions:
Equipment Maintenance:
Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program for all fabrication equipment, including saws, grinders, and packaging machines.
Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on fabrication equipment.
Monitor equipment performance to identify potential issues.
Respond to equipment failures and breakdowns in a timely manner.
Collaborate with other maintenance teams to coordinate repairs and maintenance activities.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians.
Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training and coaching to team members.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including food safety and sanitation standards.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and codes related to food processing equipment.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, such as HACCP and GMPs.
Cost Control:
Monitor and control maintenance costs, including parts and labor.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a food processing environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Knowledge of fabrication equipment and processes.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Supervisory experience.
Welding and fabrication skills.
Certification in industrial maintenance or related field.
