Location: Lake Success, NY

Salary: $20.00 USD Hourly - $21.00 USD Hourly

Description: Our client is currently seeking three Phlebotomists for their large medical facility in Lake Success, NY


These are contract to perm opportunities.
The contract rate is $21.00 per hour, the job will pay $23.50 when it goes direct.


This job will have the following responsibilities:

• 
  


• o Perform routine phlebotomy procedures.


• o Ability to distinguish sample types and draw requirements with order of draw for lab testing.


• o Navigate laboratory computer system with minimal to no errors.


• o Perform pediatric and adult phlebotomy.


• o Obtain finger stick collection.


• o Verify patient demographics accurately with two patient identifiers.


• o Adhere to safety and scientifically accepted infection control practices and standards.


• o Function as an effective team member.


• o Display effective communication.


• o Maintain pace of over 4-6 patients per hour.


• o Travel to all other draw stations and perform all tasks


• o Troubleshoot problems within LIS and partner with LIS team to resolve outstanding issues.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 
  


• High School Graduate or equivalent.


• Available to work Saturdays and must be able to travel to other draw stations


• Strong communication skills.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office.


• Previous laboratory experience preferred.


• Pediatrics Phlebotomy experienced preferred


• Phlebotomy certified

Training will occur in Lake Success, then traveling to other locations as needed.
