Provide academic advisement to current students in the Graduate Program of Applied Psychology. Interpret applicable University policies and procedures, program requirements, acceptable electives, and alternative/ substitute courses. Plan and implement recruitment and orientation activities. Facilitate seminars and events that enhance the academic experience and professional development of undergraduate students. Interface with appropriate University offices and departments to expedite processing of online graduation tracking, transfer credit evaluations and reviews, program development and substitutions. Respond to inquiries concerning the School, department, and program offerings.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience:
Min. 2 years of student advisement, recruitment, admissions, counseling, or related experience.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in a higher education setting.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; ability to work both independently as well as part of a team; ability to plan and deliver special events and seminars. Proficiency with various computer applications.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $81,950.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
