Responsibilities
The Opportunity
If you are reading this, we could guess two things about you: that you have a passion for serving customers and working with your hands to resolve challenges!
As our Service Technician, you will maintain and service all JBT chemical systems and machinery in customer packinghouses on a routine basis to ensure that they are functioning properly and are in good repair as determined by management.
Key Responsibilities
- Mixing and testing chemicals in the field to verify proper dilution and effectiveness
- Developing effective relationships with personnel and management
- Maintaining proper records of chemical use to assure machinery down time is kept to a minimum
- Being responsible for inventory cost control and summer repair parts list
- Maintaining proper inventory of leased machinery parts and chemical use at packinghouses to assure machinery down time and customer complaints are kept to a minimum
- Working with Technical Service to ensure proper application of JBT chemicals
- Completing checklists and fill in delivery log books for JBT requirements and food safety documentation
To thrive, you should have:
- The ability to fabricate, assemble and install Leased Machinery systems on an as needed basis
- Experience working on industrial machinery
- Basic mechanical skills to maintain and troubleshoot equipment issues are required.
Here is how you can stand out:
- Basic knowledge of chemical handling
- Technical School
- Electrical circuitry experience
- Computer programming experience
- PLC programming experience
- Packing house operations experience
- You have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Willing to work out of town, out of state and overnight as required
- Willing to work overtime including weekends as required
- Able to work day or night shift as required

The estimated annual salary/hourly range for this role is $20-$23. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience.
