This role is the liaison between key Business Stakeholders and IT in the analysis and delivery of system changes to support IT and Operational projects. Responsible for facilitation, assessment and documentation of project scope, business risks, business and technical requirements and the overall testing strategy with test cases. Facilitates requirements gathering sessions with key stakeholders and is responsible for business requirement documentation and traceability to technical requirements. Develops user acceptance and validation test plans. Leads execution of user acceptance testing and ensures business readiness. Creates user stories and acceptance criteria. Delivers demos of completed features and user stories. Identifies opportunities for improvement in the SDLC and PDLC, makes recommendations, and advocates for improvements as appropriate. Supports project timelines and stakeholder needs; a good communicator with intent to do good on behalf of stakeholders.
Types of projects to be analyzed can include legacy system decommissions, so technical expertise is appreciated.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead building the business case, outlining scope, identifying stakeholders, facilitating and documenting As Is, To Be flows including gap analysis
Elicit, analyze and document clear concise detailed business and technical requirements via user stories and acceptance criteria
Plan User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate the solution delivered meets the business needs.
Provide input into business readiness plans, including communication, training and production validation.
Ensure issues are identified, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner
Ensure status is updated and tracked appropriately in the single source of truth.
Qualifications:
6-7 years Business Analyst Experience
Strong analytical and project management skills
Strong technical acumen with ability to translate needs into clear, concise technical requirements
Ability to facilitate requirement elicitation and approval sessions under limited supervision.
Understand architectural and data needs and workflows required to complete tasks
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry
Self-starter who can work independently
Excellent written, verbal, communication and presentation skills
Ability to work across delivery team, to coordinate delivery and implementation
Experience with external vendors
Preferred:
8-10 years Business Analyst Experience
Experience working on large data project implementations
Strong leadership ability, with experience coaching other analysts
Six Sigma, and/or Business Analyst training or certification a plus (CBAP, BABOK)
Experience with the Agile framework (SAFe, Scrum, KanBan)
Knowledge of Jira and/or Polarion (epics, user stories, tasks, subtasks)
