The Planning group provides fully integrated planning and management as well as project development services for our clients. The group encompasses five subgroups: Planning & Management; Safety; Freight & Economics; Transit + Shared Mobility; and Operations & Technology Planning. We apply our national knowledge and leadership while leveraging the strength of regional expertise to bring experience from across the country and extensive Federal level to intimate understanding of our clients needs.
We are looking for a Transportation Analyst with a transit background to support our clients in South Florida. The Analyst conducts qualitative (e.g., research, interviewing outreach and report development) and quantitative (e.g., data analysis using spreadsheets) assignments to support transit planning and program management projects.
In addition, the Analyst interfaces with clients and performs business development tasks such as networking and proposal development. They take responsibility for products delivered to clients and take pride in deliverables that reflect well on the clients and on Cambridge Systematics. The Analyst is responsible for managing projects and tasks with support from senior staff.
Position Requirements
Bachelors degree in Planning, Engineering, or related field
2+ years of experience in transportation engineering, planning, or related field
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Organized; ability to lead tasks independently
Onsite work commitment in Fort Lauderdale 3-4 days per week
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in Planning, Engineering, or related field
2+ years of experience in grants management and/or transit operations, planning, and performance
Understanding of grant funding agreements and programming cycles
Experience preparing project scopes and schedules
Knowledge in invoicing and reimbursement approvals
