Summary
Responsible for supporting production operations by providing technical expertise to improve equipment performance, quality of products produced, and operator safety. The position will provide leadership in troubleshooting equipment, resolving complex manufacturing issues, and implementing process improvements. This role will be responsible for ensuring all equipment meets GMP standards as well as being compliant with regulatory requirements and industry codes of practice.
Key Responsibilities
Develops new and innovative methods/processes to support production needs
Maintains a safe working environment
Performs preventive maintenance on equipment
Assists with training and development of other technicians
Provides input into budgetary requests
Troubleshoots equipment problems
Works closely with engineering department on projects
Writes Standard Operating Procedures
Conducts root cause analysis
Performs machine set-up
Requirements
Education and Experience:
BS Degree in Engineering plus 2-3 years people leading experience
In lieu of a Bachelors degree, Associates Degree plus 5 years relevant experience and 5 years people leader experience
3 years' experience with high-speed automated assembly required. Needs a strong technical background in a manufacturing environment
2 years medical device manufacturing experience or FDA environment experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities (KSA's):
PLC understanding

Work Environment:
