About the Role

Fivetran is looking for a Global Director, HRBP to support Fivetrans Marketing and G&A (Finance, People, Legal, IT) organizations globally. As a Global Director, HRBP, you will serve as a strategic partner to business leaders, leveraging your deep understanding of business operations and human resources best practices to drive talent and organizational development initiatives. You will utilize data-driven insights to support decision-making and facilitate organizational change, while fostering a high-performance culture. This role requires exceptional coaching skills to guide employees and leadership through complex HR challenges, ensuring alignment between HR programs and business objectives.

We are seeking a self-motivated, data-driven and collaborative leader who is passionate about fostering a positive work culture and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

This is a full time, hybrid position based out of our Denver, CO or Oakland, CA offices with a requirement to attend the office 1-2 days per week.

What Youll Do

Strategic Solutions in Organizational Design, Succession Planning, and Performance Management:

  • Design and implement organizational structures aligned with business objectives to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive succession plans, ensuring leadership continuity and readiness for key roles.
  • Optimize performance management systems to drive accountability, support employee growth, and foster a high-performance culture.

Strategic Partnership:

  • Leverage business acumen to collaborate with leaders in building and implementing talent and organizational development programs that align with business goals.
  • Act as the primary HR liaison for assigned business units, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored HR solutions.
  • Partner with Business Leaders to drive Employee Engagement: Collaborate with business leaders to assess employee survey data, design and implement targeted engagement initiatives to address work-life balance, recognition, career development and enhance the overall employee experience.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Utilize HR analytics and data insights to inform strategic decisions, support organizational change, and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
  • Conduct skills and talent assessments, facilitate reviews, and analyze data to anticipate future talent needs and develop proactive workforce strategies.

Employee and Leadership Coaching:

  • Provide expert coaching to employees and leadership on complex issues related to performance management, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
  • Facilitate difficult conversations and mediate disputes to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Design and implement strategies that optimize employees journeys across all of the lifecycles to enhance the employee experience.

HR Program Alignment:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional HR teams including Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Total Rewards, Workplace Operations, and Learning & Development (L&D) to ensure HR programs are effectively aligned with business needs.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of HR programs that support organizational objectives and enhance employee engagement.

Change Management:

  • Lead and support change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure buy-in and successful adoption of new initiatives.

Operational Excellence:

  • Serve as the go-to HR expert for your business units, providing timely and accurate HR advice while knowing when to escalate or redirect issues to others(Subject Matter Experts or other departments)

Skills Were Looking For

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 7-10 years as an HR Business Partner supporting global teams, preferably within a scaling or fast-paced company.
  • Proven track record of partnering with business leaders to drive talent and organizational development initiatives. Experience supporting global organizations and navigating multicultural environments.
  • Strong Business Acumen: Deep understanding of organizational dynamics and the ability to align HR strategies with business objectives.
  • HR Analytics Expertise: Proficient in leveraging data for decision-making and supporting organizational change.
  • Proficiency in HRIS: Skilled in using Workday and other HR-related software to optimize HR processes.
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to think strategically and align HR initiatives with long-term business goals.
  • Stakeholder Management: Expertise in managing relationships with key stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships and drive organizational change.
  • Customer-Focused Mindset: Dedicated to creating a culture where people can thrive and grow their careers.
  • Excellent Decision-Making Skills: Capable of seeing the broader picture while understanding situational circumstances and leveraging data to drive optimal outcomes for both people and the business.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Experience building and supporting programs that promote DEI within the organization.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
  • Knowledge of Labor Laws: Strong knowledge of labor laws and compliance requirements in the United States.

This range represents base salary only and does not include incentive for sales roles, equity, or benefits, if applicable.


Pay Range$194,392—$242,990 USD
