Join us: as a member of the Treasury team, you will be working in a collaborative and dynamic environment at Merchants Fleet. You will have the opportunity to work with leaders across the company to ensure the integrity of accounting and external reporting as well as develop and enforce internal controls in key areas.

What your day looks like:
Maintain, and update the 13-week cash flow forecast on a daily, weekly, and 13 week rolling basis, ensuring accurate cash and liquidity projections for the business
Analyze historical financial data, operational trends, and industry benchmarks to inform cash flow projections and identify any potential liquidity gaps or cash management opportunities.
Work closely with accounting, operations, and other departments to gather cash flow inputs, identify potential cash flow issues, and ensure accurate and timely data for forecasting.
Produce and deliver clear, concise, and actionable reports on cash flow forecasts, cash position, and working capital to senior management and key stakeholders.
Monitor and analyze actual cash flow against forecasted values, identifying and explaining any significant variances and making recommendations for any corrective actions.
Assist with optimizing cash flow management strategies to ensure efficient use of cash, including working capital management and short-term liquidity planning.
Continuously improve and refine forecasting processes and models to ensure accuracy and alignment with the companys financial objectives and business needs.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used in reporting by regularly verifying and validating sources, performing data reconciliation, and implementing quality control measures to identify and correct discrepancies.
Work closely with Treasury on the preparation of various debt/investor reports, including corporate debt requirements as assisting as needed with servicer reporting, settlement statements, etc.
Assist as needed with corporate debt capital markets activity, including refinancings of corporate revolver, corporate term loan B, trade facilities, factoring facilities and similar transactions.
Support audit and agreed upon procedure requests
Ensure adherence to internal controls, financial policies, and regulatory compliance. Identify financial risks related to cash management and implement mitigation strategies.
Assist accounting as needed with requests regarding in the month end closing and financial reporting process, including account analysis and reconciliation
Assist in performing ad-hoc financial analyses and other special projects as required by the business, particularly related to cash flow, working capital, or capital expenditure planning.
Assist in special projects or other Treasury related responsibilities as needed and/or as requested by Management including assisting from time-to-time on securitization and ABS tasks and projects

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, Power BI/Query/Pivot Tables required
The experience and education you bring:
5+ years of experience in public/private accounting, financial reporting and/or internal audit
Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting, preferably in a corporate environment.
Familiarity with cash management, treasury functions, and financial reporting.
Extensive knowledge of GAAP
Knowledge of financial regulations, internal controls, and best practices in treasury operations
Experience assessing, designing, and implementing internal controls
Experience with Great Plains Dynamics, Blackline, Planful, Dataserv and SQL a plus
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., CFA, CTP) or relevant postgraduate education are a plus
