Brief Description:
FFG Cohort Fellows are responsible for leading Fuller Formation Group partner cohorts. This includes facilitating four retreats for each cohort, preparing for sessions, and communicating and checking in with both participants and FSF staff throughout the course of each cohort. Fellows will work with cohort small group mentors to ensure their preparedness in facilitating cohort small groups. Fellows will have the support of FSF supervisor and will complete their work virtually and lead cohort retreats in person.
FFG Cohort Fellows will lead anywhere between 1-2 cohorts per year, depending on their availability and the demand for FSF’s cohorts. Per cohort, each Fellow is expected to work an average of 35 hours per retreat (4) plus an additional 20 hours outside of retreats.
Program Execution & Participant Engagement
Provide communication to cohort participants. (content emails (provided), pre-retreat details (provided and can be sent by administrative personnel)
Invite to curriculum on Fuller Formation in sequence – adapt timing and sequence as necessary
Provide spiritual leadership at four retreats per cohort (per training), including preparation of materials, teaching/facilitation at the retreats, and travel to/from.
Submit all expenses within two weeks of each expenditure, and within one week of a retreat
Provide for excellent hospitality to all participants (per training), by either direct leadership or delegation to one or all of the small group mentors
Preparation and Training
Meet with the FSF staff–as needed–to check-in and monitor curriculum and cohort dynamics.
Provide feedback about the cohort experience to the FSF Center staff, which includes identifying potential cohort guides from the list of participants.
Prepare for sessions by doing relevant readings, reviewing curriculum, and developing all necessary documents.
Coordinate cohort logistics for all cohort sessions.
For virtual cohorts, this includes dates, times, and Zoom online logistics.
Has experienced/is experiencing a Fuller Formation Group cohort
Effective teaching, small group, and written communication skills
Personal experience with classic and novel spiritual practices
Background in leading others in spiritual growth and theological and biblical discussions for groups.
Experience with diversity and cultural sensitivity, especially as it relates to notions of spiritual formation.
Time and spiritual availability to fulfill cohort leader roles
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university is required; a graduate degree or advanced training/certification in theology, human development, psychology or related fields is highly desirable.
Must sign and abide by Fuller’s community standards.
Must agree to not share FSF’s intellectual property: As a FFG Cohort Fellow, you agree to not share, distribute, transmit, or disseminate cohort intellectual properties in any way, or to any individual or entity, except in approved FSF spaces.

Hourly rate the seminary expects to pay: $30.00 - $37.50 per hour USD
