The E&I Engineering Tech provides E&I Technicalsupport for both E&I Design and E&I Engineering. Interfaces withE&I Design and Engineering to assist with the flow of information and workproduct. Creates, checks, and reviews E&I drawings and Engineeringdocuments prior to being issued. Takes part in Field surveys, FAT test,and equipment inspections.
JobDuties and Responsibilities:
• Produce, review and check Cable / TubingSchedules
• Produce, review and check electricalcalculations such as Cable Tray Fill calculations, lighting calculations, CableSizing, and Voltage Drop.
• Prepare engineering sketches for Drafting
• Prepare data sheets for electricalinstrumentation
• May interpret and modify P&IDS
• May prepare cost estimates
• Produce, review and check Bill of Materials(BOM's) and Material Take Off's (MTO's)
• Provide input and updates for Drawing RegisterData Bases, Master Document Records (MDR) and Project Document Schedules (PDS)
• Review / check E&I drawings for correctness,completeness and formatting
• Review /check E&I Engineering documents forcorrectness, completeness and formatting
• Review client specifications to ensurecompliance
• Write, produce, check and issue Work Packs
• Prepare drawing packages for issue by documentcontrol
• Develop, review, and maintain when required,project E/I Drawing Registers
• Lead or take part in field survey teams' sitesurveys
• Take part in and produce reports for FieldSurveys, FAT tests and Equipment inspections
• Interaction with other team members as well assupervisor and client personnel;
• May be required to travel out of town on aperiodic basis to obtaining project field data or attend project meetings;
• Field duties may require outdoor work in aplant, facility or terminal environment which may include working in plant orshop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels;
• Field duties require outdoor work in a plant orconstruction atmosphere;
• Must be able to wear safety equipment asrequired by the safety department for personal protection;
• May be at more than one job site in a day andmust be able to tolerate climate changes.
