ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Learning & Development Manager. This person would be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing all aspects of our organizations learning and development programs. You will collaborate with managers, other members of HR, and senior level employees to ensure cross-functional learning and development programs are created. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training delivery methods. This is a fast-paced and demanding role with high visibility within the company. This role reports to the Human Resources Director.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy that aligns with the organizations goals and objectives

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify training needs and create effective training solutions

  • Design and develop engaging and interactive learning materials including eLearning courses, videos, job aides, and instructor-led training.

  • Facilitate training sessions?and workshops for employees at?all levels of the organization.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of?learning programs and make continuous?improvements based on feedback?and metrics.

  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging?technologies in learning and development.

  • Manage the learning management?system (LMS) and ensure content?is up to date and easily accessible.

  • Partner with external vendors?and consultants as needed to deliver?specialized training programs.

  • Support the onboarding process?by developing and delivering new?hire orientation and other onboarding training.

  • Coach and mentor subject matter?experts and trainers to enhance?their facilitation and instructional?design skills.

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in learning and development with a focus on instructional design and training delivery

  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies

  • Experience designing and developing eLearning courses

  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage and inspire leaders.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal?skills, with the ability to build?relationships and collaborate?with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Diverse technology background pertaining to learning management systems (LMS), performance management tools, and other training technologies

IDEAL QUALITIES

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, human resources or a related field

  • Industry experience in fire protection, life safety, or the building trades

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Experience in a global or multicultural organization is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Controlled climate, office environment

  • Required to sit for long periods of time, 8 or more hours per day

  • Frequently required to use monitor, keyboard, mouse and phone

  • Occasional travel based on business need up to 25%
