Our team is seeking a Global Contract Manager located in North America who will join the Global Contracting team to contribute to the success of the Global Contracting function.
To help Energy Systems achieve its strategic goals, we've put together a Global Contracting team with specialized roles in contract management and advanced legal and contractual expertise. Our team is made up of highly qualified Contracting professionals who work closely with the business to ensure customer success. The Global Contract Manager (CM) is part of this team and reports to one of the four Team Leaders.
Our contract management function is centrally organized to manage risk and provide specialized legal advice on contracts related to our projects and services. In this role, you'll conduct formal legal reviews and risk analyses of various contracts, advising the business team and other levels of Energy Systems management during the decision-making process. You'll ensure that contracts align with DNV's contracting principles as well as our strategic goals for each customer and business segment. You'll also serve as the point of contact for legal and contract counterparts in customer organizations, ensuring efficient internal collaboration and interface management. The Global Contracting team is part of the Finance & Performance function (F&P) and works closely with our Regions and global Business Units.
What you'll do
Represents Energy Systems in reviewing, amending and negotiating a variety of contracts, forms or agreements with customers, subcontractors, and other parties involved in the performance of DNV's services or providing services to DNV.
Supports the contracting process and contract management.
Assesses project risks, actively engages in the risk review process for projects, and collaborate with the business on strategies to mitigate risk.
Provides advice on legal and commercial contract-related matters as well as on matters pertaining to other functional responsibilities of the Global Contracting team.
Advocates and ensures compliance with DNV processes, policies, guidelines and values.
Provides training on legal/ contract management issues and risks within the functional scope of the Global Contracting team.
Takes an active role in identifying potential process improvements and supports the implementation of internal improvement projects.
Delivers a competent and high-quality product, that demonstrates a customer centric approach (both towards internal and external customers), and that provides commercially focused advice and solutions.

What is Required
Bachelor degree, paralegal certificate, experience in law office, department or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a legal professional or contract manager is preferred
Experience with government contracting, reviewing and negotiating large energy services contracts, and knowledge of data privacy laws, IT/Software/SaaS contract would be beneficial for this role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional skills in other languages are also welcomed.
Legal skills in a commercial/transactional context, including reviewing and drafting contracts
Comfortable working as part of a virtual, hybrid, global and multi-cultural team
Demonstrates strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex projects
Possesses organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines
Must have strong computer skills and knowledge of common programs such as Microsoft Office

Experience with SalesForce is beneficial
