General Description: Assist in the inventory management system to include ordering, receiving, issuing and coding of all stock and non-stock material.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To assist in the procurement of stock inventory by reviewing and acting on requisitions, material transfer shippers, and other plant/area requests for same.
To receive all shipments of materials and supplies and check them against orders, invoices and other required records.
To be responsible for maintaining the stock coding program and updating the stock catalogue, as required.
To be familiar with stock, its location, stock code numbers, weekly, monthly computer activity reports and stock catalog.
To evaluate and recommend the most appropriate inventory safety stock levels and reorder points.
To perform general housekeeping duties and building and facilities maintenance, as required.
To properly handle, transport and store all types of materials and be capable of operating mechanical equipment for such work as is required.
To be capable of maintaining and preparing all records involved in stock handling.
To have a thorough knowledge of the Company's operating standards, policies and directives pertaining to the assignment.
To have a thorough knowledge of the Safety Instructions affecting the work and to perform the work accordingly.
To perform other appropriate duties, as directed.
