The Upstream Process Development group as a part of MSAT supports several projects including:
Generation of recombinant baculoviruses working virus banks (seeds) for manufacturing of seasonal influenza Flu Blok and COVID vaccines.
Upstream process development at small and mid-scales.
Process tech transfer and yield improvement.

Job Responsibilities:
Subject matter expert / Technical expert and point of contact within this field of expertise.
Participate in the network for the field of expertise, within Sanofi Pasteur.
Responsible for coaching and mentoring junior personnel and educating / maintaining technical knowledge in workforce.
Effectively communicate results in group and department meetings.
Design, analyze and document experiments, maintain proper records electronically and in lab notebooks.
Contribute to lab organization, reagent tracking and ordering.
Ensure that work performed is conducted in a safe and compliant manner in adherence with SOPs/SWIs and protocols.
Coordinate data capture and tracking information.
Write and review protocols and reports.
Serve as Cell Culture SME to tech transfer and manufacturing support.
Assist in delegating laboratory work to other personnel.
Behaves according to company values and competencies.
Influences internally and across VIA functions; forward thinking with an attitude of collaboration, optimization, efficiency, continuous improvement.

About You
Education/experience
Bachelors in basic sciences, math, engineering, or pharmacy with 2+ years' experience or PhD with experience in biological processes or analytics in a cGMP environment required. A master's degree in the mentioned disciplines is preferred.
Candidate should possess educational and professional experience, commensurate with the position.
Experience in baculovirus protein expression system and insect cell cultures.
Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word to perform tasks.
Ability to plan and conduct laboratory experiments, evaluate, and interpret data.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Ability to work within team environment and multitask.
Lead/ support cell culture activities.
Willing to work changing schedules and hours as needed required.
Able to work effectively in a collaborative team.
Detail-oriented and ability to prioritize assignments.
Fluent in both written and spoken English required.
