Responsibilities
Ensures smooth daily operations and effective team performance
Responsible for their assigned group of sites for recurring maintenance activities, medium and high complexity repair work
Develop and implement strategies to maximize site efficiency and reduce downtime
Oversee all prime and sub-Contractor activities
Ensure compliance with all applicable construction codes, standards and local regulations
Ensure on-site quality control and on-site safety requirements are met
Coordinate on-site logistics by direct communication with the QAEs and other Government personnel
Responsible for all on-site and Contractor controlled documentation.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field a plus
Minimum of five years of experience in performing liquid fuels maintenance or construction on various types of fuel systems that can include marine, loading arms, bulk fuel facilities, hot pit fueling systems, gas station dispensing systems, cathodic protection systems, and leak detection systems.
Three years of experience must be Site Management or Construction Management experience.
Knowledge of fuel system operations and safety regulations.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to; hard hats, steel-toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Working Environment
Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
